Frequently Asked Questions
-
I currently work with adults ages 18 to 64. At this time, I do not offer services for children, adolescents, or adults over 64. If you’re seeking care for someone outside this age range, I’m happy to provide referrals to trusted clinicians who specialize in those populations.
My practice operates on a direct-pay (out-of-network) basis, meaning I do not contract with insurance companies. This approach allows me to focus my time and energy on providing personalized, high-quality care rather than dealing with insurance paperwork. It also helps protect your privacy, as your personal information remains confidential between us and is not shared with insurance providers.

✨ If quick check-ins and prescription refills were enough, you probably wouldn’t be here right now.
But if you’re looking for something more supportive, personal, and intentional, here’s what you’ll find when you work with me:🌿 Time that’s truly yours
Longer, unhurried sessions give us the space to focus on what truly matters to you. The patient–doctor relationship is the heart of my practice. Because meaningful care takes time, my integrative practice is fee-for-service. I do not accept insurance so that your care, not insurance limitations, guides our work together.💬 A psychiatrist who sees the gray
I’m not a black-and-white thinker. I’m deeply curious about the nuances of your story, the parts that don’t fit neatly into a checklist or diagnosis. My goal is to understand what’s really happening beneath the surface, not just match symptoms to a label or write a prescription.🕊️ Thorough care
You’ll feel heard, seen, and validated.💖 A compassionate, trauma-informed approach
I honor your story, your resilience, and your inner wisdom.🌸 Integrative care options
To explore the right combination of treatments for you, supporting healing that feels authentic and sustainable.🌞 Ease and accessibility

Because your well-being deserves the care, attention, and depth that true healing requires. -
I prescribe benzodiazepines sparingly, as I’ve seen the potential long-term harm they can cause. There are often safer and more effective alternatives that support both healing and well-being.
Because telehealth regulations around controlled substances are strict and continually changing, if you know you’ll need ongoing prescriptions for benzodiazepines or stimulants, working with an in-person psychiatrist may be a better fit.
If, during our work together, it becomes clear that a stimulant could be beneficial and I’m unable to prescribe it due to regulatory restrictions, I’ll let you know and help connect you with a local provider who can continue that aspect of care.
For safety reasons, I do not prescribe controlled substances for individuals with active substance use concerns, nor do I take over benzodiazepine or stimulant prescriptions started by other providers

Integrative psychiatry is a holistic approach to mental health care — it’s about caring for the whole you.
This approach combines conventional treatments like medication and therapy with evidence-informed alternative options such as supplements, plant medicine, and complementary practices including nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and mind–body techniques.Rather than simply managing symptoms, integrative psychiatry explores the deeper connections between the mind, body, and spirit, with the goal of nurturing lasting balance and overall well-being.

My practice does not include disability evaluations, workers’ compensation assessments, forensic evaluations, emotional support animal evaluations, or legal services or testimony.
If at any point you need legal documentation or testimony, I recommend working with an independent forensic psychiatrist who specializes in those areas. This ensures you receive the most appropriate and expert support for that process.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines the medicine ketamine with guided therapy to support emotional healing. Unlike receiving ketamine alone, where the focus is mainly on the medication, KAP uses the ketamine experience as an opening for deeper therapeutic work. This combination often helps people process emotions, access insights, and create lasting change. In my practice I use ketamine Lozenges.

KAP is helpful for people living with resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, especially if traditional treatments haven’t worked well. I’ll do a careful assessment to make sure it’s safe and appropriate for you before moving forward.
